Dozens of excellent laboratories from around the UK entered the fiercely competed laboratory awards. We were therefore delighted to be crowned the Best Digital Laboratory and the Best Crown and Bridge Laboratory in the UK. Additionally we were highly commended in the Best Private and Best Implant Laboratory categories.
Officially recognised as the leading private digital and crown and bridge laboratory in the UK
I established CDL to be a pioneer in the digital field. To achieve this I knew I had to attract exceptionally talented and experienced technicians who had passion, curiosity and a determination to constantly develop and challenge the boundaries of what is technically and aesthetically possible.
Innovation and Digital
Our success reflects not only our digital heritage but our outstanding innovation.
Our commitment to testing new methodologies, collaboration with manufacturers to develop and test new materials and techniques has allowed us to lead the evolution of digital dentistry in the UK.
I’ve always insisted that the Cdl team continue daily to use the traditional hand skills that they have taken decades to learn. This old school artistic flair when combined with digital has enabled us to be the best and be officially recognised as the best!
All of our digital designers are fully qualified experienced dental technicians who understand that however good the tooth and denture libraries are, the skill is in personalising and adapting each and every case. The software provides the basic framework, the technician manipulates and customises the design to meet the unique needs of every patient.
One team approach – dentist and laboratory in perfect partnership
The exceptional work that CDL does with The Implant Centre has evolved to a close and collaborative clinical partnership. Whilst we are two independent businesses, our collocation means we can plan and review cases together at every stage of the process, reviewing and adjusting treatment plans iteratively. This avoids the inevitable restrictions that are placed on labs and technicians that work within corporate or practice restrictions.
Our commitment to the environment
Digital has helped us go green. There is nothing to get delivered, so zero emissions here. There is no impression to cast so no gypsum waste here. Models are no longer printed in the majority of posterior cases due to the high degree of accuracy of our digital workflows.
We are also incredibly proud to be pushing for greener solutions for our local delivery and collection service by utilising a local cycle courier service. Minimising our carbon footprint is incredibly important.
Thank you to all our clients
All of our clients, be they surgeons, restorers, gdp’s or laboratories are all treated with the same professionalism, expert advice and diligence – this is evidenced in the case studies, testimonials and patient feedback which helped us triumph at the awards. A huge thank you to all our valued clients, we look forward to continuing to help you create wonderful smiles in 2020.
